"Emily was amazing to work with from start to finish and felt like a friend instead of a vendor throughout the entire process. She took all of the stress out of the day and made everyone feel relaxed. She is such a kind soul who has truly found her calling capturing people's love stories."
BANANA & PEANUT BUTTER, FAMILY DANCE PARTIES, PELOTON SPIN, yoga pants, AND GOOD CLEAN SKINCARE
NIBBLING ON CHOCOLATE, SINGING along to a catchy TUNE, READING A BOOK, CLEANING UP LEGOS, and GROUP-TEXTING MY GIRLFRIENDS
Exclamation points, LAUGHTER, COFFEE WITH SWEET CREAM, HAND-HOLDING, SWEATY WORKOUTS, dark chocolate, and topknots
If you drop by to see me, you'll most likely find me holed up with a book and a cup of coffee or watching a romcom and eating pizza. I have a thing for the crosswords in the back of People magazines and a guilty pleasure for any 1) Taylor & Travis updates and 2) British royal gossip. I think that Christmas is the most magical time of the year, that laughter is the best medicine, and that topknots are life. I really love chocolate, especially dark chocolate, and feel like I'm a California girl at heart, even though I've never lived there.
I absolutely cannot wait to get to know you and join you on this journey towards one of the most important days of your life!
It is here, capturing love at its finest
and marriage at its beginning,
where I find myself incredibly happy.
Hi, it's so nice to meet you! I'm Emily, an Iowa-based wedding photographer. I am overjoyed to be a photographer, but, more than that, I love being an artist and a storyteller.
I started my artistic journey before I can remember. (Literally. There is a collection of drawings in my baby book of brides with 80's hair and lace dresses. My earliest bridal drawing says I was 4.) As I grew, I continued to search for my avenue of art, feeling my way through music composition, vocal recordings, clay sculpting, writing, and finally photography. It is here, immersed in light and styling, where I finally felt at home as an artist.
A beautiful Spanish courtyard ceremony, followed by a reception inside the gorgeous Casa de España in downtown San Juan, made for the most joyous wedding celebration!
The glow of the autumn sun lighting up the lush landscaping at Little Lights cannot be beat and this wedding was a delight because of both this happy couple and this gorgeous venue!
Real thoughts from my past clients, all about my process, and what exactly makes an Emily Crall bride.
